Terms of Use

Effective October 7, 2026

Know B4 U Vote is a free, nonpartisan guide to Minnesota ballots. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who owns what

The site's design, code, written explanations, issue summaries, "Take the seat" feature, voter passport and the way information is selected and arranged are owned by Know B4 U Vote and protected by copyright. "Know B4 U Vote" is a trademark of Know B4 U Vote.

Some content belongs to others. Candidate photos, campaign websites and party documents belong to their owners and are shown or linked so voters can compare candidates. Public records, such as candidate lists from the Minnesota Secretary of State, district data from the U.S. Census Bureau and official roll-call votes, are not owned by anyone.

What you may do

What you may not do

Accuracy and neutrality

We work to keep information accurate, sourced and fair to every candidate, but mistakes and late changes happen. The site is for information only. It is not an official ballot and not legal advice. Always confirm your ballot with the Minnesota Secretary of State at mnvotes.gov.

Know B4 U Vote is not affiliated with any candidate, campaign, party or the State of Minnesota. A link to a campaign or party site is not an endorsement.

Your privacy

Addresses you enter are used only to look up your districts and are not stored. Your picks and voter passport stay on your own device. "Take the seat" votes are added to anonymous running totals: we store counts only, never your name, address or device.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.

Contact and corrections

Questions, or see something wrong about a candidate? Email knowb4uvotedotorg@gmail.com. Candidates and campaigns can use the same address to send a photo, website or correction. Every candidate card also has a "Report a correction" link.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
